Why the practice exists
My interest is in how people work with technology: what it enables them to do, what they need to understand and how their expertise develops alongside it.
Bringing digital and AI-enabled services into businesses meant working through new responsibilities, helping colleagues develop their skills and adapting how teams worked together. That experience led to Decision Landing: helping organisations make good use of AI while strengthening the expertise and judgment of their people.

Meet Nic
I have spent much of my career helping businesses make sense of new opportunities and put them into practice. At BASES/NielsenIQ and TRAX, that included predictive analytics, digital services and AI-enabled offerings, bringing them to customers and helping our own teams work with them.
There was always more to it than introducing the technology. Teams and portfolios had to come together, colleagues needed opportunities to develop their skills, and established ways of working sometimes needed a rethink. Those experiences shaped my interest in how people build confidence and expertise as their work changes. AI gives those questions a new significance.
Along the way, I have helped management teams make decisions about innovation, pricing and growth, from international launches to substantial investments. I have worked with global businesses such as Nestlé, P&G and Bayer, as well as smaller companies and entrepreneurial ventures.
What informs the work
Curiosity is part
of the practice.
Learning remains part of my work. I continue to explore ideas in AI, systems thinking and human development, test them in practice and learn from the people I work with.
Ideas from IDEO U, Cambridge Judge, INSEAD and the University of Houston continue to inform that work. Conversations and exchanges across disciplines help me question familiar approaches and see things differently.
